Bob ‘Bongo’ Starkie presents ‘Million Dollar Riff’

The Satellite Lounge is excited to welcome to its stage Bob ‘bongo’ Starkie- guitarist from the engine room of the legendary Skyhooks. This upcoming show sees not only a new band line-up but also a swanky new costume for Bob. Joining the band will be the remarkable lead vocalist Lisa Edwards and original skyhooks drummer Freddie Strauks, along with Steve Williams (sax/harp/percussion), Michael Cristiano (guitar) and Kim May (bass). Get ready to bust a move on the dance floor groovers as Bob Starkie and band bring you a whole bunch of Skyhooks favourites such as ‘Livin in the 70s’, ‘Horror Movie’ and who can forget the classic ‘Women in Uniform’! With special guest on the night Broderick Smith.

Yes its true, they’re coming out into the paddocks again. Million Dollar Riff, is a celebration of the music of Skyhooks and the phenomenal word smithery of Greg Macainsh.
In 1998 Bob was inducted into the Aria hall of fame recognizing the significant contribution he and his fellow Skyhooks made to Australian live music.
